New
Product Introduction and Market Research for
NuvoBronz Tanning Systems
When Tanline, Inc., hired us, its NuvoBronz
product line consisted of 10 unidentified potions
in clear glass jars. In fact, the line did not even
have a name. Between late spring and the annual
tanning industry trade show in October, we created
a brand identity and package designs for the entire
line. Our consumer testing led to development of
an ad campaign plus point of purchase materials,
display racks, promotional materials and a trade
show booth. The NuvoBronz campaign features extreme
action shots of hard-bodied athletes in action with
the line, “Extremely Active Ingredients.”
Another line, “Massive Amounts of Moisture,”
featured stop-action underwater photographs of the
actual products as they were dropped into a glass
tank. NuvoBronz made enormous waves at the annual
trade show in Chicago. Our radical approach to advertising
and visuals set a new standard for graphics and
package design in the industry. Best of all was
the year of record setting sales that followed. |
