Our Legacy
Linda and Cody Curry began operations at Curry Printing in 1985 with one employee. Curry Printing has grown a lot since then but their mission hasn't changed: Provide the very best printed products possible while forming lasting partnerships with our customers and giving back to the community.

| 1947 |
|
Bill Curry, father of Cody and Larry Curry, began his career in the printing business as an offset pressmen after a tour of duty in the Marines during World War II. Over the next 35 years, with the exception of 4 years as pressroom foreman, Bill honed his skills as a pressman and earned a reputation as a highly skilled craftsman known for the quality of his work.

1971 |
Larry begins his career in printing as a night shift press helper at Storm Printing in Dallas where Bill is the pressroom foreman. Larry also attends college during the day.

1971 |
Cody graduates North Texas State University, cum laude and marries Linda Woodall. His first job is in sales at Clampitt Paper Company. He later moves to Monarch Paper Company.

1973 |
Larry enters printing full time at Yaquinto Printing in Dallas where he began learning his trade in pre press.

Cody is recruited by a large, commercial printer and spends the next 10 years gaining printing industry experience and serving in various management capacities.

1982 |
Bill Curry hangs up his apron and retires from printing, handing his legacy of consistently producing high quality printing to his sons.

| 1985 |
|
Cody and Linda buy Draper Printing, a small quick print shop operating in a strip center at 209-J Bedford Euless Road in Bedford, Texas. Linda works as typesetter and counter help while Cody and Bailey Draper, the former owner, run the presses and do bindery work. Original equipment included two single-color Multilith presses in 1200 square feet of space. The old counter is still in use today to help manage the flow of new orders waiting to be printed.

Curry acquires first true commercial printing press: a 26" two color Komori Lithrone. Larry joins the growing company in October where he prepared jobs for press the old fashioned way by shooting, stripping and assembling film negatives, Today the film, apron and beard are long gone – replaced by a state-of-the-art digital direct to plate system and a close, comfortable shave.

On November 25th, Cody, Linda and Larry Curry celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of Curry Printing Incorporated.

| 1991 |
|
Curry Printing outgrows the space and moves to their present location at 1109 Pamela Drive in Euless where they install a new five color 26" Komori Lithrone press and begin multicolor printing for advertising agencies and design firms in earnest.
Long time shipping manager Kevin Hutchings with the new 26" Five Color Komori that was installed at the new location just before the rest of the equipment was moved over.

Jason Sinclair, a young lad of 21, joined Curry 1993 to learn the trade alongside Press Helper Steve Sirekia. Today Jason is a master pressman who runs our six color Komori Lithrone.

|
Curry Printing incorporates. This year also marks the acquisition of the first of many Macintosh computers and the beginning of the transition into digital pre press.
Dan McKee, long time customer service representative joins the company and is often mistaken for a member of ZZ Top.

|
Kim Max arrives from Iowa. Texas has since been good to her.
|
1998 |
A 28" Komori Lithrone six color press with tower coater and extended delivery is added to meet growing demands.
|
2000 |
The Halm Jet Envelope press is added to speed envelope production.
|
2001 |
Bill Curry passes on, leaving the family's printing legacy in the capable hands of his sons.
|
2002 |
Transition to completely digital workflow begins with the addition of CTP equipment which includes a Fuji Dart plate setter.

|
Cody, Linda and Larry Curry celebrate 20 years in business!

| 200? |
|
Christie Hayes celebrates her 30th birthday at Curry. Actual year will NOT be disclosed.
|
2006 |
A Second Fuji plate setter is added to provide redundancy.
|
2007 |
Transition to total digital workflow is complete. The old process camera is removed and all negatives are discarded.
A Five color Heidleberg GTO perfecting press is added, extending capability for smaller and shorter run projects.

2008 |
A newly designed website is developed and launched, another indication of the Curry commitment to remain abreast of new technologies.

2009 |
Curry Printing obtains FSC Certification, demonstrating their committment to the environment.
HP Indigo 3500 Digital press and HP UV Coater are added further enhancing Curry's short run printing capabilities. |

| 2010 |
|
On November 25, 2010, Cody, Linda, Larry and the rest of the team at Curry Printing, Inc. celebrated 25 successful years in business!
